First, don't go with cheap, you will regret it for years to come. A good pool cost about what a nice car will run, but lasts much longer. Figure 25-35,000 for a decent one. Do NOT go with those guys working out of the back of the pickup. Go to the BBB website, find a company that has a store (trust me) and has been in business for more than 5 years. If that is too expense for you, go with the above ground units for now and replace at a later time.

Why don't you call a pool company in that area and ask them?

Here's a possible start:

When your looking for a pool builder be sure to ask for a good long list of their past customers (go back a few years too).

Going with a budget builder could add to your headaches and cost you alot more money in the long run.

here's a forum with other pool builds http://troublefreepools.com/viewforum.php?f=3, I believe there's a few members here from Texas as well.

good luck,

dan
