for what distance? short course or long? A 50yd free? or 100yd? Or lcm? A 200yd? 25m?



The 25m would have been around 12-3sec. (this is an estimate-he swam against my brother locally though they only saw each other at big meets) when he was out of Baltimore. 9yr olds don't compete in the 25m. And Michael was better at longer distances.

also notice on the same year, the 50fr, 16th was Ryan Lochte.



Michael's 200fr was 6th in the nation, 50bk was 4th, 2nd in 50fl, and 1st in 100fl



if you pull 95-96 and look at where he was ranked there as a 10 yr old, pretty fast.
