Can i swim while having my period?

So my period usually comes for about 5-6 days and yesterday it just started. It was a little bit but now its alittle bit more?

If you are using tampons, then yes it shouldn't be a problem. If you aren't however, then I wouldn't. It may be light but you don't want to risk the embarassment by getting blood in the water and having everyone see it

Defiantly use a tampon. Never heard of the pressure of the water stopping it. It will certainly flow out when you get out of the water if nothing there to stop it! My friend went swimming in the lake without a tampon and when she got out blood was streaming down her legs. She told all the children she cut herself shaving!
